Charlton manager Lee Bowyer charged with improper conduct by FA
Charlton manager Lee Bowyer was charged by the FA for supposedly making abusive remarks towards the referee during last weeks defeat.
Its alleged that Bowyers language – both on the field and in the tunnel area in the end of the game – amounted to improper conduct and questioned the ethics of the game referee.
Bowyer has been charged with two breaches of FA Rule E3 and contains until 6pm on Wednesday to respond.
Bowyer was miserable at not being given a penalty but, speaking after the match, seemed to accept it asone of these things.
Referees have the hardest job on earth, I believe, Bowyer said in his news conference.
If hed have granted it, their manager would have stated it wasnt a penalty. So, I dont know. Its one of those things.
We didnt get the decision go our way today but big decisions begin evening themselves out. A good deal of times today 50/50 things we did not get for whatever reason its disappointing, but when we keep working like this and playing just like that, well be okay.
